 are the names behind the company, SUNI Petware. We met in the summer of 2002 while volunteering for a local greyhound adoption group in Calgary, Alberta and soon discovered that we were having the same challenge finding reasonably priced, well fitting, well made, good looking martingale collars and clip collars to dress up our dogs. Of the eight dogs that we currently share our lives with, seven are greyhounds that have such magnificent long necks and are able to wear wide, colourful, fancy collars. We decided that we would make collars and leashes for the dogs ourselves. The eighth member of the pack is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi…her neck was a whole other matter!

 enjoy searching for new ribbons and trims to add to our collar collection. We are continually offering new choices believing in the old adage that “variety is the spice of life”. Many of our canine friends have a collar for everyday of the week!
 natural progression, or so it seemed to us, was to create a comfortable, durable yet affordable dog bed. We decided to produce a two-piece nesting bed consisting of an outer ring and an inner pillow using upholstery fabrics for longer wear. The "Buddy Bed", an extra long bed for dogs that love to cuddle up together is our specialty and a favourite of our customers.
 husband Peter is the artist in the family. Peter creates the most wonderful, whimsical, clay animal statues. Animal owners, wanting a statue of a favorite pet, often commission Peter for this work. His statues come in many sizes and all that is required to create a special depiction of a family pet are some photos taken from a few different angles.

have both had pets become ill and die of cancer. This led us into individual research regarding animal nutrition and the importance of a natural diet in keeping pets healthy well into old age. Our dogs and cats are fed a raw food diet. Check out the link to "Pawsitively Natural" to find out more!
 Contributing to the welfare of ex-racing greyhounds in their retirement is our passion and the main reason we do what we do! In addition to transporting and fostering greyhounds in our area, a portion of all collar, leash, bed and sculpture sales is donated to local and international adoption groups in their fundraising efforts to help cover expenses incurred in finding loving homes for the greyhounds in their care. As the inspiration for our small business, the greyhounds remain our focus however the success of our work has enabled us to also give generously of our time, money and products to local all breed dog groups as well as to an area cat rescue organization. This continues to be our privilege.
